Biography
Dr. Chad J. Prusmack is a distinguished neurosurgeon and visionary leader in integrative health. He founded Resilience Code in 2016 with the mission to develop personalized, comprehensive health and performance wellness plans. Dr. Prusmack is passionate about helping clients not only achieve peak performance but also recover from chronic toxicities and infections.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biophysics from Harvard University, where he also captained the lacrosse team. He then obtained his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, graduating at the top of his class. Dr. Prusmack completed his neurosurgical residency and fellowships in cerebrovascular, skull base, and complex spine surgery at the University of Miami. He is board-certified in neurological surgery and holds a certification in functional medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), making him the only neurosurgeon in the United States with this distinction.
In addition to his work at Resilience Code, Dr. Prusmack serves as the primary neurosurgical consultant for the Denver Broncos and the United States Olympic Committee, specializing in neurodegenerative disease, concussion, post-concussive syndrome, and performance medicine.
Dr. Prusmack is also the independent neuro consultant for the Colorado Avalanche, Las Vegas Golden Knights, Winnipeg Jets, and Orlando Magic. Dr. Prusmack stands as a testament to innovation in sports neurosurgery, notably as the first neurosurgeon to execute a successful cervical artificial disc replacement on an active NHL athlete, Jack Eichel. This groundbreaking intervention not only returned a premier player to elite competition but also underscored Dr. Prusmack's visionary leadership, setting a new benchmark in athlete recovery while demonstrating Dr. Prusmack's commitment to empowering athletes to have control over their health outcomes. The "Jack Eichel surgery," as it's informally known, represents a shift toward empowering athletes to take a more active role in their medical destinies, fostering a more collaborative approach between players, their doctors, their teams, and the entire league.
